I NEED AN ARTIST - I DON'T CARE IF THE ARTIST IS BLACK OR WHITE OR ANY OTHER COLOR. I DON'T CARE IF THE ARTIST IS MALE OR FEMALE. I DON'T CARE IF THE ARTIST IS A PROFESSIONAL OR AMATUER. WHAT DO I CARE ABOUT? THAT THE ARTIST IS GREAT WITH A PENCIL. THAT THE ARTIST CAN ILLUSTRATE IN A CRISP AND CLEAR STYLE. THAT THE ARTIST CAN DRAW HIGHLY DETAILED BACKGROUNDS. THAT THE ARTIST WANTS TO BE A SUCCESS. THAT THE ARTIST CAN TURN MY VISION INTO A PENCILED REALITY. I'M HOPEFUL THAT I CAN FIND HIM/HER. btw - The artist must be able to illustrate scenes from the "old west", but believe me, this project is nothing like other "old west" series.

Can't believe we didn't get to the NATIONAL show! It wasn't anyone's fault, but we weren't able to attend. I don't feel like going into it. I wonder if the artist we need was there and we missed him/her? Very frustrating. Not much to add to that, just plain frustrated.

   Getting ready to hit the NATIONAL. That's one of the biggest comic book conventions. It's on the 17th, 18th & 19th of November at the Penn Plaza Paviliion, 401 Seventh Avenue at 33rd St. Across the Street From Madison Square Garden. Besides the people buying and selling books, there are many representitives from the comic book field - including ARTISTS! One of the things I want is a local artist. I don't think that a local artist is necessarily better than a distant artist, it's just that I'd like to be able to sit down with him/her and iron out any problems face-to-face so I know that everything is understood between writer and artist.
